BMW X3 (F25) Service & Repair Manual: Nozzles and outlets

• Removing and installing or replacing left fresh air grille
• Removing and installing/replacing center fresh air grille
• Removing and installing/replacing rear passenger compartment fresh air grille
• Removing and installing/replacing right fresh air grille

Removing and installing or replacing left fresh air grille

Necessary preliminary work:

• Remove DECORATIVE STRIP ON INSTRUMENT PANEL ON LEFT

Release screws (1).

Pull out left fresh air vent (2) towards front.

Version with automatic climate control:

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Remove left fresh-air grille (2).

Removing and installing/replacing center fresh air grille

Necessary preliminary work:

• Remove DECORATIVE STRIP ON DASHBOARD IN MIDDLE

IMPORTANT: Proceed with care so as to avoid damaging the fresh air grille.

Replacement:

Unclip fresh air vent (1) from trim strip (2) in direction of arrow.

Remove center fresh-air grille (1).

Removing and installing/replacing rear passenger compartment fresh air grille

Necessary preliminary work:

• Remove CENTER ARMREST STORAGE COMPARTMENT

Pull storage compartment (1) in the upper area out and fold down as shown.

Release screws (2) on fresh air grille (1).

Lift the fresh air grille (2) upper over the locking tabs (1) and remove toward the front.

Disconnect associated plug connection (3).

Remove fresh air grille (2).

Removing and installing/replacing right fresh air grille

Necessary preliminary work:

• Remove DECORATIVE STRIP ON DASHBOARD ON RIGHT

Release screws (1).

Remove fresh air grille (2).

Disconnect associated plug connection.
